Architectural requirements for Emergency Response Network

Summary: A vital part of communications network infrastructure is to provide the capability for citizens to contact the appropriate authorities (fire, medical or police) in the event of emergency events. Providing such a communications network infrastructure is typically a function of the public safety and disaster preparedness policy of the government often enforced by the telecommunications regulatory authority of the government. While the Emergency response technology has been operational in many developed nations, deployment of such Emergency Response networks has gained a lot of attention in emerging economies around the world.
In this workshop participants will learn about the business and technical requirements for Emergency Response networks and the challenges for offering emergency response in emerging countries. They will discover the solution framework for deploying Emergency Response Infrastructure in emerging economies, keeping in mind some of the local challenges. |

Social Software Tools: A Critical Evaluation
